HIV Prevention Services

Welcome to our HIV Prevention Services

At Recovery Consultants of Atlanta, Inc., we are committed to promoting HIV prevention, raising awareness, and providing essential services to individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to empower individuals with knowledge, support, and resources to prevent the transmission of HIV and improve overall health outcomes.

HIV Testing and Counseling: We offer confidential and free HIV testing services in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Our trained professionals provide pre- and post-test counseling to address any concerns or questions you may have.

Outreach Testing: We understand that accessibility is crucial for reaching everyone in need. Our team conducts outreach testing in various community settings, such as community centers, events, and local organizations. We provide testing services directly to you, ensuring that testing is convenient, confidential, and easily accessible.

Street Testing: We recognize that some individuals may face barriers to accessing traditional healthcare settings. To bridge this gap, we provide street testing services at designated locations within the community. Our team of healthcare professionals is equipped to conduct rapid HIV tests, provide counseling, and offer referrals to necessary follow-up care.

Testing at Non-Traditional Businesses: To make HIV testing more widely available, we partner with non-traditional businesses, such as beauty salons, barbershops, and pharmacies, to offer on-site testing services. By integrating testing into everyday establishments, we aim to normalize HIV testing and make it a routine part of healthcare.

At-Home Testing: We understand the importance of convenience and privacy when it comes to HIV testing. That's why we provide at-home testing kits, which allow you to collect a sample in the comfort of your own home. Our kits come with detailed instructions, and once you've collected your sample, you can return it to us for confidential laboratory testing. We will ensure you receive your results discreetly and provide any necessary counseling or referrals.

Education and Awareness: We believe that knowledge is power. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, we aim to educate individuals about HIV transmission, prevention strategies, and the importance of regular testing. By spreading awareness, we hope to eliminate the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): PrEP is a highly effective medication that, when taken consistently, can significantly reduce the risk of HIV infection. We provide information, access, and support for individuals interested in exploring PrEP as a preventive option. ( FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PrEP please visit our Sexual Health page.

Condom Distribution: We promote safe sexual practices by distributing free condoms to the community. Condoms are an essential barrier method that helps prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Support and Referrals: We understand that living with or being affected by HIV/AIDS can be challenging. Our team offers emotional support, counseling, and referrals to other organizations and resources that can assist with medical care, mental health services, and social support.
