Through strategic partnerships with local organizations, we have successfully implemented various activities to increase awareness and offer vital services. Community Outreach:
As part of our comprehensive outreach efforts, we offer rapid HIV, Syphilis, and Hep C testing, as well as connect individuals to essential resources such as referrals for primary care services, housing, mental health, and substance use treatment. Additionally, we collaborate with local businesses to provide critical resources, including food and clothing, to individuals in need.
HIV Awareness Campaign and Social Media Presence:
Our dynamic HIV awareness campaign has played a crucial role in boosting recruitment efforts within the community. We have revamped our website to provide an informative and engaging experience, while our active Facebook page serves as a valuable platform to keep the community informed and connected. Collaborative Partnerships and Support for Outreach Testing:
Through collaborative partnerships with various community organizations, including grocery stores, hotels, barbershops, churches, and other establishments, we have expanded our reach and established routine HIV testing in convenient locations throughout Dekalb and Fulton counties. This approach enables us to better serve our target population. Additionally, our "street pop-up" outreach initiatives allow us to reach individuals who may face barriers in accessing healthcare services. These initiatives have been successful in identifying previously diagnosed positives and facilitating their connection to essential medical care.
